Johannes Braams pointed out to me that my `rotating' package re-instituted a problem fixed in LaTeX some time ago, ie the hard-wiring of the words `Figure' and `Table' in captions. This has been fixed so that \figurename and \tablename are used, and a a new version (1.8) or `rotating' is therefore available in the CTAN archives (eg ftp.tex.ac.uk:pub/archive/macros/latex/contrib/rotating). We also belatedly record in the source the fact that the trigonometry macros were written by Phil Taylor! Sebastian Rahtz spqr@minster.york.ac.uk
